The Scriptures quoted Against Women ministering in Churches are

1 Tim 2: 11,12 and 1 Corinthians 14:34..and I use the KJV for the proper translations ..

1Cr 14:34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but [they are commanded] to be under obedience, as also saith the law.

1Cr 14:35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

1Cr 14:36 What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?

Here the Apostle Paul is talking about those women who kept speaking in church services vs 34 – but they are commanded to be under obedience .. the context tells me that there seems to be a relational problem with their husbands …

Otherwise what will women who have no husbands do ? vs 35 …if they will learn anything ..let them ask their husbands …

Here the emphasis is on Learning and women asking questions in church to learn !!! I mean if they were preaching..Where does this bit of learning come into the picture ?

How many of us would like to have our Ministers learn while Preaching ?!!

So, we can safely conclude that this verse is talking about keeping silence in church while the teaching is going on? I stress then that they were speaking in church to learn something and that too they were interrupting the preaching going on by so doing .

Paul was talking to Timothy his student and pastor of a church in Ephesus the same thing


1 Tim 2:11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.

1 Tim 2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

Look again at the emphasis on learn here. Now here he is talking about Woman USURPING authority over the (a) man …. Telling us that He had some authority over her in the first place !!

Look closely at the word used for Man and you will know that it is normally translated husband in a relational context. [ Gk Strong 435 ] or look at the Definite article The , rightly translated in KJV and wrongly translated in many other versions .

As Ps Chris says, Mary was the first woman to preach the Resurrection Gospel to the Disciples ..the Lord Jesus did not count her any less worthy ..Now again Gaius many believe is a woman to whom John the Apostle wrote his episteles ..In the book of Acts,
Philip’s daughters preached(prophesied) with signs and wonders ..so even the Holy Spirit didn’t count them less worthy to minister His presence..

Having said that Who am I to count them any less ?

After a careful study of the Bible I find that WOMEN ARE NOT PROHIBITED TO PREACH , MINISTER IN CHURCHES !!

Hola Guys!!!!


Hope you Guys had a Rocking Christmas Season!!!! Incidentally mine turned out to be better than I had imagined . My Pastor invited me over to Punjab coz he happened to go for his vacations there and thought it a great idea if I tagged along !!! Now , how on earth he happened to come up with that Idea , it beats my muddled brain completely , but the fact remains PUNJAB is a ROCKING place !!!! even with ME around !!!

One of the highlights of my time there was a CAR TRIP to RANJIT SAGAR Dam somewhere up there near Pathankhot…. Imagine the fright of my life when the Car zipped past a motorcycle at over 80 km /hr and we barely missed a frightened woman
Right in the centre of the Road ..am sure that Woman saw heaven , hell and the deep sea all together in that split second ..Unfortunately friends , the pics that we had clicked remains on the Mobile Cam …Hopefully , our Friend BANKA (YES HE WAS THE DARE DEVIL of a driver) will bring it over when he comes over to Delhi.

Maybe I hope to see those guys there again for my next X-mas!!! And yes we are planning to bring the Band over to Delhi for a Jam at a Mall nearby … And on the 25 th nite Glorious Jammed late into the nite and it was a treat...After all these years I was among the youth … It was a Revitalizer of Sorts for me!!!! We had Captured that on our Digi Cam …They will be uploading it on You tube Soon !!!

And my suggestion is if you ever feel right in the pits...Pack up and go all out to Punjab!!! Since my trip was not planned, I traveled Ticket less on a Jammu Mail Sleeper Compartment that was supposed to seat 72 persons and carried well over 100 people ..Taking pity on my condition a Generous Fauji from Orissa offered me butt space on his seat which well would have belonged to the TTE, if Laloo decides to place a TTE in each and every Compartment … Coupled with the Cold Freezing Nite Journey and the liters and litres of ….you know what …people were peeing into the Railway tracks …I had much less time enjoying the Seat I was provided , and Well in all the time in between I remember praying a lot of fraud , fake pious prayers ... “ So What’s New ? ” , Says my God !!! He has a fine sense of humour I say.

In between programs I read through a biography on Sadhu Sundar Singh and seated on the verandah on that cold winter morning I fully realized what it meant to be stripped naked and thrown out of the house at nite just because the beatific Sadhu put his trust on the One that Was Crucified for him !! We fail to comprehend the extent of his sufferings sitting in our cozy couches!!! Now I realize why Jesus Loves Such as these !! They are His precious on earth!!! What a privilege!!!

How many of us do actually think that God is interested

in the minute details of our life?

I mean We know God knows everything about us,

but do we actually think He cares about those very things

He knows ? !!!!

I am reminded of a Word@Parra - how Ajay

explained a verse - God is INTIMATELY acquainted

with ALL our WAYS!!!!

I don't know of any other meaning other than the obvious !!!

That He is In Everything We Do ...and this verse is in the

OT - !!!! Well , how much more now that His Holy Spirit

resides right within !!

So right on with my Miracle Story - But a Little Back Ground

that you can identify why it means so much to me ..

I was living in a small shacked up place earlier - and getting

fed up of that place , I asked God for a nice house !!! Well , to

that prayer HE answered me over and beyond my expectations !!!

Not a day passed without my thanking Him for the house He enabled

me to get at such a medium rent !! The house was peaceful, the owners

were very nice people and the neighbours were well aloof but

non intrusive ..What more could you ask for ?

So Imagine my Consternation when I was asked to Move out..IT seems

that; that particular section of the building where my house was situated

was in I guess the Demolition Zone and I had to vacate it within a week !!

So cutting the intro short lemme go straight to the Time Line - 25th October

- The Day I have to Vacate and Still no House in Sight !!! I set out looking for

houses on rent ~!! - My Pastor had instructed me , "Pray for Right Contacts ,

Pray for the Right Place, if something seems to be accidental , dont overlook

God's hand in it!!

Well with that particular prayer , I set out looking for accidents !!!Can you

Believe it ? People can be so Dumb ..like me !!!

I started with a particular block in the enclave - I figured God will at least

lead me to a nice house like the one I am staying in right now -

I met a particular Shopkeeper who seemed to be a nice fellow .He told me that

no houses were on rent in that particular block .The time was 9.00 AM


After seeing a couple of houses or wat looked like houses – (the details of which I

Will save for a later date) I was dejected and in course of my wanderings

reached the Exact Point I started accidentally since these blocks were u know

all in obscure squares.Accidentally and this time I didn't notice the Accident!!!

The Time was 12.00 Noon.

So weary and really disappointed I walked right ahead , not waiting to

acknowledge the shop keeper . Just when I was about to turn the corner

this person called me from behind .I walked over to his shop and seems like

a fellow devotee at one of the temples he goes to was looking to let out his

room and he suddenly remembered !!! In a short while I was at his friends

place and as soon as I met his parents a certain peace prevailed in my heart.

I felt the Lord saying Yes to this particular place .It seemed to fit the description

my Pastor had of my future residence ...Elated I Went Right Ahead !!

So the shopkeeper’s accidental encounter with a fellow devotee many days

ago and my accidentally reaching the same place twice …So many accidents.

Its been a While ....

I go by the rule , If you have nothing to share - Don't Publish ...

But So Much has been happening this month , that i thot it good to

share it with you all....


One of my dear pastor's birthday happened to be this month. His

4th Wedding Anniversary too occurred earlier in the week ... I think

its been one heaven of a joy ride for him and OF course if Uncle DGS

was here with us October would have been his favorite month !!!!

Me thinks , its a great month - All nice spiritual Things happen

this particular season !!!


It was Andrew's sister's marriage on Oct 4th - the best part

was shopping for the whole occasion .... and hey if i forget to add -

My dear Friend Cherry is getting married November 1st !!!! I don't

know how many times i have played his marriage in my mind's eye ....

Blame it on a not so mature mind .... He will always remain someone

so Close to my heart....Such a Joy , Such a Pleasure - Like David

sang - Your love is FAR GREATER

than that of Women!!! - I know what he was speaking of -


So to take of from where i left , Our entire shopping spree was limited

to a particular Mall in town - It was as if Three Monkeys(Yours Truly,

Simeon, Andrew)Descended from Outer Space to check out the Wares on

Display - A riot of laughter and lots of happy smiles were left behind

as we exited the mall that day-


Think upon this scenario - Two guys hoisting themselves up the Changing

Room of the Boys Section to "see" what the other guy is doing ....

Strutting around in female wear and posing in front of the mirror -

Commenting on each and every ware left in the mall and joking around

with the Sales Guys there -


And while we were waiting for Simeon to come over - a Beautiful

Blue Eyed Lass looks around - I couldn't help be fascinated by this

"anomaly" - I go over to this gal and the conversation goes

something like this

- Hey , Hi !! You got beautiful Blue Eyes -

- Hmmh ? (puzzled , fearful , questioning look)

- I just wondered whether u been staring at me all the while -

(I was in a pair of Blue jeans and Blue T Shirt -Coincidence ???)

- What ?? ( A Small Smile )

_ Ohh !! I Got it .. You been watching a Lot of Blue Films
at Home !!!

At this the gal accompanying her burst out laughing , Andrew

obviously was munching up his Chicken Kulcha somewhere ....

And then began the interaction - She was staying somewhere

around that place and she was well uhmm shopping

(hope u figured dat already !!! - I didnt , so i had to ask

wink)

I, well; left it at that - No i didnt take her number

and well She didnt ask mine either -

With that Simeon came over and we proceeded to Shop !!!

I loved the North Indian Style of Marriage - Its grand ,

and Its expensive !!

Glitteringly Spectacular - Nothing else will do in North India -


People in South come to eat and dine during marriages - in

the North we go to celebrate !!! Well ,that's how a Marriage

should happen !!! and Yes,Gals come out decked in their beautiful

Best !!! Once the pictures are processed , I will send you

some snaps -

There was this Awesome Looking Gal in Black - She was a

Chick - a Purrfect 9 !! No way could i go up to her and strike

up a conversation - The only thing left was eyetronics - till I

chanced upon the photographer !!! I waved over the photo-

grapher and asking him to wait , I moved along to this gal and

asked her ever so politely ," Hi!! I want u stand by me for

a snap ...I need a picture of my self ,the photographer wants someone

to STAND by me - to ward of the evil eye that is !!"

Very quickly we start talking like buddies -

much to the chagrin of my friends (wink)


Its difficult to normally approach these beautiful looking gals

at a wedding - They expect to get hit on - but let me give u a hint

- Be Yourself - Be your Creative Best- Dont be a Dork - and keep

it at the level of Simple Enjoyable Friendship - It

takes the pressure out of every interaction - the Pressure to Impress

her and Yes!!!I am a VERY MONOGAMOUS guy - I invariably see the same

Woman in Every Woman I meet!!

Life is Beautiful , IF Beautiful Gals happen to be with you - Well

how else can u get it beautiful -

Something I noticed - GUYS out in the North are far better Looking

than their South Indian Counterparts - Couldnt but help notice -

this one obvious Disadvantage !!! They are more manly(or at least

looks it) and strut around like the Masters of the Brood !!!

While all of us know " Hotel California" - by the Eagles , the well known American Rock Band , what I am going to discuss today is the Inspiration Behind the Name - The EAGLE.

I was inspired to go deeper into this after listening to Jon Courson who was taking a BIBLE STUDY on well guess what EAGLES !!!!So as a start to the unintiated EAGLES are heavy beaked , big footed birds of prey characterized by powerful vision .I believe these are its well known characteristics .If we delve deeper into the unknown characteristics of these birds , we will begin to admire it . So Lets start , with a little help from Jon Courson.

First Things First , THEY are MONOGAMOUS !!! It's a very FAITHFUL bird. It sticks with its mate for life !!! And it builds its nest on the top of high rocks in the crevices- literally the high places of the earth - away from the prying eyes.

The male and the female take turns to incubate the eggs once they are laid. The nest sometimes weigh up to a ton!! That shows how cozy the nest can be to the eaglets!!Once the eaglets are born , the Mother plucks some soft feather from her breast and pads up her young ones...

An eagle can fly up to 100 km per hour. That's how powerful they are !! And they dont Fly ...They Glide utilising the Air Currents to their advantage..Thats how they SOAR !!! Not like the other birds ..who have to flap flap flap ...definitely no chicken !!

Wanna learn how they learn to SOAR ? They dont LEARN ..THEY ARE TAUGHT and that too zabardasti... I am leaving out a lot of info which I have researched... Just sticking with those that will surely entertain and teach you ..But my research was well worth it... I loved every moment of it ...

The Eagles mate after a very elaborate ceremony ..The Male Eagle has to prove himself to his would be and after the TEST , they lock their talons together and turn head over heels and scream in joy....suspended quite a few feet high above the air ..And after the courtship and marriage , they go on to build nests ....Their nests are in high inaccessible locations with their back to a Rock !!! Try reading Job 39:27-29 ..Fron the Words of its Creator !!!

The nest is deep with a shallow 18 inches for the brooding area..Once the Eaglets reach a certain age , the mother Eagle knows when its time for the eaglets to learn to fly!! The Mother Eagle's Wing converts its Wings into a broom and and sweeps of the nest , every SOFT things the Eaglets are so accustomed too !!! Ha !! Dont we too have those times in life ? !! Read Deut 32:11

Now the Mother Eagle throws the brooding nest down the cliff !!! and Well the eaglets are carried on her back for a wild wild Roller Coaster Ride ... and while airborne , She flips over !!! Think of crazy things happening !!!

The screeching eaglets are left hurtling down at speeds that defy its tiny imagination...Just before it hits ROCK BOTTOM , the Father Eagle comes swooping down
to catch the Eaglet. Most Eaglets do not learn how to fly the first time , however this process is continued till they LEARN TO FLY !!!

Wonder why sometimes we are being hurtled down at mind defying speeds-- OUR HEAVENLY FATHER IS TEACHING US TO FLY !!! and HE will REPEAT it till we LEARN TO FLY !! and the best part is WE NEVER HIT ROCK BOTTOM !! Someone will catch us right before we hit the ROCKS !!!

Why does HE want us to fly ? EAGLES were created to FLY !! not be in nests all day.. It has two sets of eyelids , They can LOOK directly at the SUN ( SON?! ) and fly directly into it ...The HIGHER you SOAR , the dimmer the worlds pleasures grow in your eyes .. ETERNITY draws more light onto your LIFE ..And yes another important characteristic about Eagle's eyes is that they are always WET !!!


Heard about Eagles holding onto rocks and de feathering themselves .. ? Well thats the molting process it undergoes ...Calcium deposits appear on its beak and talons and the EAGLE walks like a TURKEY in the valley below ...it can no longer fly !!! Other Eagles who survived the onslaught ,,will now drop food into the valley for these molting eagles ... Remember friends , you go through the valley to help those who will one day be there like you ...

Once they renew their strength , they will climp the mountain they were raised on ,
"Look to Abraham your father , the rock from which you were hewed" ....and then they beat the Calcium Deposits of their beak and talons ..its a painful process !! AFTER this they SOAR higher than they did !! ITs the Nature's Way of teaching Eagles ....

I ALWAYS WONDERED WHY GOD LIKENED HIMSELF TO EAGLES !! NOW , NO WONDER !!!

For those of you who have heard Stryper - the original J.E.S.U.S chant , the frontman of Stryper - Michael Sweet has come out with his new album - Together As One. Most of the songs are written for his wife who is battling cancer and at his wife;s insistence , he is publishing this Album.

Nothing Else ..Fought with all my closest Girl Friends , IT was Cherry's Bday on Sept 3rd and Chinchu wanted me to wish her on Sept 2nd !! I guess all my close friends are Virgos !!!
Litty is joining our gang and guys mind you its a HE !!! Well if Binsu can be a " He " , then why not Litty !!!

Mally folks are crazy wen it comes to names - They are a BRAND apart !!! You know the utter mindlessness of our poor folks when they go around chasing names like the ones we have. For " not " instance , my friend Smita had a child and named him ANSH ..that sounds class!!

I would have preferred a Hindu - Indianish Name anyday to the one I've got- Shyam, Arjun , Abhishek, Pratap, Raja- these sound nice , easy on the lips , and quite a majestic ring to it ..So guys When U name your kids , make sure it means something to the kid , or at least let it sound nice - Do it the Hebrew Way - Let the Name Define the Person !!!

So long , its a lifelong angst - name trouble - [:D]
